Geelong! We are back in Cats Town again and catching up with old friends.
Getting there involved travelling the Great Ocean Road and it is as dramatic as we remembered. We stopped off along the way a couple of times to check out old stamping grounds and had a lovely time all in all. It was only the cold that made it less fun.
Here are some of the obligatory 12 Apostles pictures
Yes - it was COLD!
While we were in Lorne we came across a flock of parakeets dining out on some fruit - this was one of them.
Jane has put us up in her and Dave's beautiful new home (and it is truly beautiful) and Julie and Gary are looking after our HTC.
We all went out to dinner last night, meeting Heather and Phil there, and enjoyed a lovely evening catching up and chatting about stuff. Nightcaps at Heather and Phil's was the order of the day and all went fantastically well.
Just for those interested the people are, from left and going around the table, Gary Millard, Phil Dillon, Heather Dillon, Julie Millard, Jane Evans, Karen and me!
Today we spend running around Geelong, looking at our old haunts and chasing down the improvements to the city like these scultures on Eastern Beach.
While we were walking around we bumped into a couple of old friends and colleagues including Greg McHenry and his soon to be wife Edwina. It was great to catch up again and as they are honeymooning acrossin Tassie in March we'll try to meet up with them again over there.
It is nice to be back, but I can't say that the weather has been as welcoming as the people - chilly!
